James Rodel (stage name, Iacobus) was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, October 3, 1970. He is an American composer, musician and sometime visual artist.


He has several accomplishments, including co-author of several books (including a book on Magix Multimedia Software's DAW, ACID Pro, titled, "Instant ACID," with John Rofrano) and co-hosting an ACID Pro seminar (also with John Rofrano) in Las Vegas at the annual National Association of Broadcasters convention. He has also won a couple of remix contests, including one sponsored by industrial music group Static-X.


He is also an Adobe Community Professional (ACP) and loves to use Photoshop, Camera Raw, Illustrator, Bridge, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Muse and InDesign.
